MIDDLE SCHOOL FINE ARTS
Students in Middle School Band will form the foundation for Concert, Marching, Pep and Jazz Bands. Weekly semi-private instrumental lessons and full-band rehearsals are offered to all who desire to learn. Instructions will be available for wind instruments, including flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, and trombone. Students who play string instruments such as piano, bass, guitar, or drums may be considered by audition only. Two seasonal performances are planned each year.
The Drama program introduces middle school students to theatre. Through monologues, improvisation and scene work the students will begin to explore the world of theater.
Another creative class designed for Middle School students is Art. This class studies art elements such as line, texture, shape, color, value and composition through painting. Students learn basic strategies to explore familiar objects and places in today’s culture.
